Dealing Properly with Whistleblowers and Related Issues

Why this is critical: The law says you must protect a whistleblower from retaliation and this service is a way to do that.

In-house attempts at compliance are difficult because people often do not trust their local HR department. They distrust assurances of anonymity and fear retaliation.

And if they feel that way, then you have broken the law!

Our service is bilingual (Spanish and English) and we can set up a follow-up service where needed to ensure that an employee is satisfied and doesn’t come back later with complaints of inadequate follow through.

This is THE way to effectively and efficiently position your company safely.

Ensuring that your employees have a managed and professional conduit for complaints is not only an outstanding way to actually reduce those complaints, it may also be a legal requirement for your organization.

Every company from large corporations to non-profits should have a plan and process in place for dealing effectively and fairly with complaints, reports and “whistleblowers.” A number of regulations and laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, may impact your organization’s requirements in these areas.

Even with the best of intentions, complying with these requirements can be difficult. For example, dealing with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act can be a formidable undertaking. It is a complex piece of legislation, and one that demands a serious and planned approach.

LMAG's Whistleblower Program can assist your organization with these increasingly important needs. This “on-call” program puts your organization in compliance and positioned to deal with problems for a minimal cost.
